There are multiple issues, many of which you addressed, with the so-called conservative movement's weaponized approach to all politics. I am registered as a democrat not because they best represent me, but because they encompass a lot more reason, logic, and frankly optimistic solutions than the republicans.

When one side bickers a lot but has something to say, that's probably the side you want to be on. Especially when the other side straight out embraces an authoritarian society while preaching about liberty that they neither want nor understand.
