I actually welcome it. Sometimes, the "mistake" was intentional, in which case a nice conversation can ensue as to why I chose to word it the way I did. Depending on how that comes out, I might change it. I don't even always understand my humor :D

That being said, my basic feeling on the issue is how it's done, not that it's done. If I screw something up and it jumps off the page at you, I consider it a kindness if you tell me so. And I don't much care if it's in public or private.

I know that there are people who get really sensitive about things like typos, though, so I always try to put any such notice in private when I do it. I've yet to have anybody to tell me to lay off, like they did with you, but if they did, I'd respect their wishes.

I can only think of one Medium writer who thinks they're perfect. And even though I like said person's writing, I'll never have that narrow of an ego :D
