I have a bit of a problem with the "Living Document" argument.

Those who seem to hold forth this argument the most often are loathe to use the part of the constitution that would make it true:

Article V.

If it's to be a "living document", we need to stop twisting around on "original construction" and similar legerdemain and USE that article. A lot. Amendments should be proposed and voted on IN PUBLIC constantly. That would be a huge step towards true democracy.
