I too live in Trump country, and it's largely been the same here. People proudly unmasked even as their neighbors drop dead.

I truly do not understand this mindset. Yeah, I get that a mask is slightly uncomfortable. So? So's a coat, and these same people wear them in the winter. For the same reason, too. To protect against an environmental hazard. How the HELL did that become political?
