If this were true, then every country with universal health coverage (which is literally every other first world country) would have higher health care costs than we do.

The numbers are there. You are the one misunderstanding. I was once a conservative, and I'm good with numbers. This particular line of attack against health care as a right has been going on all of my life. Prior to having access to proper data, it appeared true.

This is one of the reasons I am no longer conservative. Much like the far left, the far right is absolutely unwilling to change their positions when presented with new or contradictory data.
