However, I disagree, as I covered that group in the first sentence of your quote.

The leaders of the conservative movement definitely prefer everyone (including their base) to be enslaved and worked until the drop dead. But the base, they view everyone who is "other" as so alien that they need to be destroyed.

I live in an extremely red city. I don't speak out, much because it's not a large city. But I listen, and what I hear is frightening. They literally view anyone who is not part of their group as something to be destroyed.
