This is one of the things that just drives me crazy about conservatives.

It is about the most stupid and blatantly selfish thing you can say, and these people claim some sort of lock on family values.

To me, the primary family value is and always will be leaving a better world for our children. My generation utterly failed on that one, and it's largely because we turned our backs on the progressive strides that had been made by the previous two generations. (I'm gen X). The Millennials had to deal with our mess, and the Zoomers are the ones who have to live with BOTH generations' messes.

My son is surprisingly intelligent and far more of a progressive than I'll ever be. He's 14. I most definitely want him to have things I didn't. Particularly a better life and a better world to live in.
