Vote. Again, I say, Vote!
That’s it. There’s no subtext. Do your civic duty and vote!
Unlike most of my articles, I’m not going to talk much about ideology, if at all, except to say that if you don’t vote tomorrow (assuming you have not already done so), then you are actively working against the continuance of the American Experiment.
Obviously, I care a great deal about the outcome. One side wants voting curtailed. They want to put a great many strictures on who can vote and how they can do it. Currently, a lot of this is legal.
As our president said: This time around, Democracy itself is on the ballot.
I’d dare to say that democracy IS the ballot.
There is no such thing as a wasted vote. In this article, I will not tell you how I think you should vote. Those who read my articles know my bent.
So here’s how it is.
If you agree with me, vote!
If you disagree with me, vote!
If you’re neutral, vote!
Vote in numbers so large that no side can claim victory by deceit.
Voting is the fundamental act that puts a democracy, or a democratic republic, apart from a dictatorship, oligarchy, or monarchy. It is the antithesis of authoritarianism. It is your civic duty if you wish the American Experiment to continue and improve.
That’s it.
Vote. Tomorrow is your last chance this cycle, and as things are going, maybe your last chance this generation.
VOTE!
