Some Thoughts on the State of the Union.

In light of the recent events including and following the attempted coup on Sixth January, I’ve not done much with my main project (An examination of capitalism and how it could be harnessed to make life better via UBI and other measures)

No apology, it’s not every day that the alleged president** incites the mob to commit treason in the United States. I been a little concerned. Or a lot concerned. Depends on the moment and my caffeine/adrenaline levels.

So, for the moment, a few thoughts on recent days. Opinions are my own. If they prove to be incorrect, I’ll own it. I don’t think they are.

The president** committed sedition and likely treason.

This is not really a controversy unless you are a right wing nut job. We all saw it. We all heard him tell the mob that the election was stolen. We all heard him tell them to march on the capitol and fight. Yes, he said it slightly ambiguously. Not very, mind you, just slightly. Given his utter lack of intellect in all things big and small, it was a masterful speech. I’m curious who wrote it. It had the desired effect.

After being fired up by a treasonous demagogue, the crowd proceeded to do what he demanded of them. Marched on the capitol, flew the flag of treason INSIDE the capitol building, fulfilling a southern dream that…
